Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
Motion alarms and backup alarms are audio device accessories which generate enough sound so that the noise is heard overtop the sounds generated from the forklift itself.
The sound generated by the audio device must be distinguishable from other audible devices or sounds from the work setting. The sound must also be different from the other sound or audible devices within the work area. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care must be taken.
Determine the direction and distance the sound of the audible device is made more difficult due to the use of hearing protection. Audible devices could occasionally get deactivated from both operators and workers as they could find them annoying. What's more, audible devices may also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They utilize tempered glass so as to prevent injuries. Additionally, these cabs feature an emergency exit through removing the window. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For every particular use, the operator could choose the performance requirement. Additionally, it enables a supervisor to set the maximum performance of a model for an operator who is just learning. Being able to lessen and adjust the model's maximum performance allows a new operator to learn the equipment's operating characteristics in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is needed to enable and override the model. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the equipment in a more controlled way.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the operating environment behind the truck as well as the tail swing area.
