Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck which is basically a motorized version of a pallet jack. They come in both "Walkie" models as well as "Rider" versions.
Just as the name implies, the walkie model is designed for the operator to walk alongside with the unit as they move loads. The Rider model on the other hand, utilizes a small platform wherein the operator stands on. The rider models are great for frequent moving of cargo over extended distances within warehouses and manufacturing applications. They are highly maneuverable and fast.
It is not recommended to pick up and transport tall or unstable loads since there are no safety cages on these models. A rider can be the perfect answer if you are searching for a cheap way of transporting cargo from one location to another. If though, you should move heavy loads short distances, and prefer to use a more employee-friendly unit rather than a pallet jack, the walkie model can be the best option.
Order Selector
An Order Selector also goes by the name of Order picker. This equipment is specially made for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the load and the operator in order to facilitate manual unloading and loading from racking areas.
Normally, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle that can work in smaller aisles. They are extremely useful pieces of machinery during cycle counting situations as well as in physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, though models which range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more popular.
