The Carriage
The carriage is similar to a traditional lift truck since the lifting attachment can be tilted backwards and forwards from its horizontal. The tilt which is possible on this machinery exceeds more than that of the vertical masts. There is a large variety of available lifting attachments, and this ability to position makes them as efficient as possible.
Nearly all telehandlers are capable of tilting forward to a point where the carriage is actually parallel with the ground believe it or not! Moreover, lots of models offer rotating carriages also. This enables the operator to radially adjust the lifting attachment. This translates to the load being able of being tilted forwards and backwards, and side to side.
Load Capacity
Telehandlers have a load capacity quite similar to that of the vertical mast model. The model's overall capacity would be dependent on things like: boom angle and extension, whether the unit is lifting on rubber tires or on outriggers, and the amount of boom transaction deployed, if this is applicable. What's more, which lifting attachment plays an main part, as does the wind, the grade the machine is operating on etc. All of these specifics can be changing on a regular basis and this gives the operator much more information to think about.
Usually, telehandlers have several load charts available in order for the operator to reference so they can know the load capacity of a certain lift. Depending upon the configuration of the boom and the unit in particular, the load capacity may differ by thousands of pounds all together.
